Before you upgrade, plan both sides of the move.

Your current home and your next one belong in the same conversation.

Room for what’s next.

A bigger home is not automatically a better fit. Before you start looking for more space, get specific about what is no longer working in the space you have.

Is it a kitchen that makes family meals awkward? A workday spent at the dining table? Storage, stairs, or a layout that has stopped making sense? Name the problem before you buy the solution.

Then look at both sides of the move together. What might your current home realistically sell for? What preparation would it need? What would the next purchase mean for your monthly costs and the money you want to keep available?

Timing deserves its own plan. Buying first and selling first each involve trade-offs. We can discuss market conditions, your financing and your comfort with uncertainty alongside the appropriate professionals. There is no single sequence that suits every family.

Your next chapter should make everyday life work better. Let us start with that, then build a search and a selling plan around it.
